Artis

Artis is a non-profit organization which supports and promotes contemporary Israeli art the world over. The site is intended to champion this goal by exposing the Israeli artist, their work, and various related articles.
In addition, the site contains an event calendar and explanations of how to find various artists works in galleries.

The site features a unique concept, by which the artist page is the summary of all the content which is related to the artist: articles, images, videos, biography etc. The artists aggregation pages display the information, divided by type and subject: the images are displayed as a dynamic, interactive gallery, the events are displayed chronologically, and the articles are displayed as a list of teasers.

Beyond the periodical newsletter, in which events and articles are published, the site contains lots of AJAX development for reloading and reshuffling of lists and for the rich presentation of the content, without needing the reload of an entire page.

Site operators are given an almost absolute control over the positioning of content and their arrangement, and they are free to move content around as needed, to integrate video and image galleries inside the contents themselves, and more.
